Girl Scouts - Heart of Central California

Building Courage, Confidence & Character

The Girl Scouts Heart of Central California needed a fresh, inspiring approach to attract more volunteers and leaders. Working alongside a dedicated group of Girl Scouts and leaders we set out to create a visual identity that was both timeless and modern. The goal? To honor the rich traditions of Girl Scouts while inspiring today’s volunteers and educators to empower girls to discover, connect, and take action.

A Classic Look with a Fresh Perspective

Drawing inspiration from the iconic WPA and national park posters, an engaging illustrative design was created to encapsulate the essence of the Girl Scout experience.

These materials are crafted to inspire and engage potential volunteers, emphasizing the vital role that mentors play in shaping future girl leaders.

Building on the success of these materials, we were entrusted with designing the Annual Report for Girl Scouts Heart of Central California—a powerful piece distributed to leaders, volunteers, donors, and supporters. To capture the essence of Girl Scouting, a bold theme was developed:

Anything But Average.

This theme celebrated the limitless potential of Girl Scouts, showcasing them as artists, inventors, explorers, and changemakers.

Expanding on this creative direction, we also designed foldable Day Camp brochures, taking inspiration from our original illustrations but refining them into striking silhouettes. These visuals highlighted the diverse camp experiences awaiting Girl Scouts, inviting them to step outside, explore, and discover their strengths.
